Unleash Aggression From Anywhere
RPM Friction Pro V2 Elongated 14mm Pickleball Paddle
The RPM Friction Pro V2 14mm Elongated is a high-performance pickleball paddle built for players who want to attack with speed, spin, reach, and confidence. Co-designed with world-ranked professional James Ignatowich, the RPM V2 Elongated takes the foundation of the original Friction Pro and adds technology intended to create a faster, more powerful response.
At the face, RPM’s CarbonBite Surface gives the ball plenty of bite for heavy topspin, aggressive rolls, dipping drives, and spin-loaded serves. Beneath it, the Axial Carbon Layup promotes efficient energy transfer and responsiveness. The result is a solid feel at contact with enough pop to pressure opponents during hands battles while still offering useful control for drops, resets, and other soft shots.
RPM’s Tri-Density Core uses varying material densities to support stability and performance across the paddle. An enhanced EVA foam ring around the core further increases stability and creates a large, super-forgiving effective sweet spot. This combination helps maintain a predictable bounce when contact moves away from the center of the face.
The 14mm core gives this Friction Pro model a quick rebound and lively response. Its 113 swing weight provides leverage for power without making the paddle difficult to move through fast exchanges at the net. Players can generate speed with relatively little effort from the baseline while retaining maneuverability closer to the kitchen.
The elongated shape measures 16.5 inches long and 7.5 inches wide, providing extra reach for singles play, overheads, volleys, and difficult balls. A 5.5-inch handle and 4.125-inch grip circumference complete a setup suited to aggressive, advanced play.
For players searching the premium paddle category for elite spin, power, and an expanded sweet spot, the RPM Friction Pro V2 delivers a compelling combination of offensive performance and forgiveness.
RPM Friction Pro V2 Elongated FAQ
What makes the CarbonBite Surface effective?
The carbon fiber face is designed for exceptional ball bite, giving players the grit needed to produce heavy spin on serves, drives, rolls, and other attacking shots.
How does the Tri-Density Core play?
RPM combines multiple material densities to improve stability, forgiveness, and energy transfer. Paired with the EVA foam ring, it creates a large effective sweet spot with a solid feel.
Is the 14mm model built for power or control?
It favors power, pop, speed, and aggressive play, but its forgiving construction provides enough control and confidence for drops and resets.
What changed from the original Friction Pro?
The RPM Friction Pro V2 adds an Axial Carbon Layup and enhanced EVA foam ring while continuing to use CarbonBite Surface and Tri-Density Core technologies.
Who should play the elongated shape?
Advanced players seeking extra reach, powerful drives, spin, quick hand speed, and strong performance in singles play are particularly well suited to this model.
